Welcome to San Jose
Program Director Spotlight
I have always had an interest and love of working with and helping children with special needs. I worked as an ABA therapist for five-years while completing my bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Adolescent Development and earning my special education teaching credential through San Jose State University.
I joined the Spectrum team in 2012 as an intern classroom teacher. Although some days were challenging, I loved the day-to-day interactions with students and enjoyed watching them grow and develop into their full potential. After five years as a classroom teacher, I excepted a promotion to the Curriculum and Instruction Specialist role at the San Jose campus. During this time and I continued to have daily interactions with students through our DI intervention program and regular STAR and State testing periods. I also served as a mentor to the classroom teachers while they perused clearing credentials and furthering their education.
Most recently, I have served as the interim director and in September 2021, I officially accepted the role of Program Director for the San Jose campus. I look forward to continuing to work closely with our students, families, and our districts to meet the individual needs of our San Jose students.
