Our Spectrum offerings are customizable to the unique needs of each school district with which we work. We’ll work together to determine which combination of our offerings will best suit the size, resource level, and student populations of your district. With any of these combinations, Spectrum’s instructional and behavioral practices establish a safe, trusting place for students, so district goals are met and students achieve their individual accomplishments.
Through our 40+ years in operation, we have established an effective menu of learning environments and classroom types that facilitate positive results and learning. In response to varying district capacity and need, we offer our Spectrum learning environments in various educational settings. And finally, we offer a-la-carte specialty services that Spectrum is best known and respected for, including: autism services, behavior support services, and transition services. These specialty services may be included in any district contract, along with the preferred learning environment and education setting combination.
Depending on the needs of your student population and the available resources of your district, we can customize our Spectrum learning environments into the right educational setting that will bring the most benefit to your district – and maximize the academic, behavioral, and social success of your students.
Our Approach
At Spectrum, we know all students have unique talents to share with the world. We believe that the classroom is the place where talents develop and we ensure all children feel confident to share who they are when they leave our campuses. We learn as much from them as they learn from us.
We are guided by proven, research-based strategies, including the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Applied Behavior Analysis is based on the science of human behavior and is the foundation of Spectrum Center’s approach to teaching children with autism and related disabilities. We teach skills through ABA because it is the most effective teaching strategy to decrease challenging behaviors and increase skill acquisition.
