Academic Skills Classroom
Calvin was a student from our academic skills program. He graduated high school from Camden Campus and is eligible for entry to a community college program, after which he could then transfer to a 4-year college.
During his years with Spectrum, Calvin has made a great amount of progress when making and responding to greetings from others, cooperating in group activities and asking/answering questions. He learned appropriate strategies to manage frustration and accept change without becoming upset.
The support given to him for employment opportunities made a difference in becoming the more independent and responsible individual he has become.
We are so happy and proud of his total development, and we believe this will help him tremendously as he faces the world beyond.
