Welcome to Jurupa Valley – Ina Arbuckle Elementary
At Spectrum Jurupa Valley, we strive to change the direction of children’s lives using quality research-based methods of academic instruction, Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) throughout the scholar’s day, direct instruction in social skills, and an increased focus on the development of the communication and life skills necessary for our students to grow and thrive as individuals. We value the joy that each scholar brings to our lives, the lives of their families, and their communities. We see the families of our students as invaluable partners in their education and development and pride ourselves on involving families in their child’s school life through open communication and shared goal setting. We offer a personalized education to suit the needs of each child through developing and monitoring student-specific goals, and through providing each student with a small class size and an increased number of educators in each classroom giving each student more daily interaction and individualized attention than is often available at other schools. In addition to all the amazing things that happen inside of each classroom every day, Spectrum Jurupa Valley also has a Sensory Playroom with fun, engaging equipment that helps students meet their sensory needs and improve their ability to socialize and play with others, as well as providing them with an opportunity to work on large and fine motor skill development. Spectrum Jurupa Valley’s passionate and dedicated staff includes teachers who are Education Specialists and Instructional Assistants who have all received training on Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), a Behavior Coordinator and Behavior Specialist who support classroom staff and students in developing appropriate behavioral strategies, and a Program Director (or School Principal) with years of experience as an Autism Specialist and Behavior Intervention Case Manager. We love seeing the growth and progress of each child who attends our program!
