Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities Partnership Example
Rossier Park School in Buena Park, California serves special education students in grades 7- 12. We are a valued resource serving over 20 public school districts in Southern California with two very distinct programs. The functional classrooms serve students who have not been successful in the moderate to severe SDC setting at public school. This includes an adult transition program that assists the students access the community and employment options. Our larger ED program has 7 classes for diploma bound students struggling with ED, ADHD, conduct issues, suicidal ideation, anxiety disorders and several mental health disorders. Our academic, therapeutic and behavioral setting offers area districts a safe, supportive and structured setting.
The districts we serve rely on our program when faced with students who have repeatedly failed in the public school setting. We are the last hope for many districts and families who have struggled for years to find the right school program. This includes being the stepping stone for students on their way to and from residential settings. Our successful partnership with the districts allows us the opportunity to transition students back to public school when ready or to graduate them from high school into the community, work force or junior college. We rebuild the students’ confidence academically and emotionally so they have the skill base to be productive back in public school or in the community. Our team of teachers, counselors, aides and behavior staff build unique bonds with our students and families that nurture the growth and success we have been able to achieve.
