Our life skills training services provide students with the skills they need to work, play, socialize, and take care of personal needs.
This area of our curriculum—often referred to as “daily living skills—teaches students how to lead the most independent lives possible. Students learn about personal hygiene, food preparation, money management, time monitoring, personal organization, even recreation and leisure skills.
Our goal is to create a sense of independence and self-confidence by providing students with the opportunity to learn new skills and practice them to competence. And, as always, we reach out to parents and home schools, involving them whenever possible in the student’s Spectrum experience.
For additional information about this service, or to discuss a referral to Spectrum, call (510) 741-5440 or contact us.
